SAKE Competitive Team Captains Information: 4 captains in total serving 2 year terms, with 2 changing every other year Positions will be new so still defining roles but some responsibilities are: Getting paddlers organized and warmed up for training Getting paddlers signed up for races Getting paddlers to sign waivers Motivational Line of communication for paddlers Assisting with getting new paddlers situated and welcomed Following up with new paddlers Assisting with coach training events Assist with information dissemination within the various training groups Assist with planning and logistics of away races Help make the life of the head coach and lead race manager easier

Rainier Race May 17 Seattle Dragon Boat Festival June 14 Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Race June 21-22 - Kim and Giselle Olympia Dragon Boat Race July 12 Portland Dragon Boat Festival Sept 6-7 - Lori Scharlin Duties: Communicate information related to the race to the coach and paddlers, eg parking, arrival times, tent numbers etc. (You will be connected with the source of information) Check for completed waivers Coordinate volunteer transport of equipment required eg. boards, first aid kit, tents, tables etc Assist/ delegate potluck organization if required for the race Help keep an eye on schedule on race day
