Celebrate Earth Day by giving back to our beautiful Lake Washington waterfront! On Saturday, April 26, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, we’re rallying volunteers to help clean up the "String of Pearls" street-end parks between Leschi and Lakewood marinas.
Join us in removing invasive blackberries, picking up trash, and restoring these cherished mini-parks and water access sites—whether by land or by lake! Bring your gloves and enthusiasm, or volunteer waterside by kayak or stand-up paddleboard (SUP).
Bring garden gloves if you have them.
This community-driven event is a collaboration between Seattle SAKE Paddling Club, Leschi Community Council, Washington Water Trails Association, Seattle Public Utilities, and Seattle Parks and Recreation. We'll kick things off with brief remarks from our partners before diving into the cleanup.
As a SAKE Proud event, volunteers will enjoy a bite to eat and a drink before heading back out.
Let’s make a difference together! Mark your calendar, bring a friend, and help keep our parks and water access pristine.
