This is a capsize drill which has two purposes: First and foremost to offer a drill for those DB members who have not met the drill requirement this past year to do a drill now so they can continue to paddle, and second to do a drill in colder waters to explore the issues we will face in the colder time of the year.
We will supply on shore support in the form of: Popup tent, a heater, blankets, warm drinks, towels, and snacks. Participants need to bring a full change of very warm clothing to change into when they get out of the water. We will hold this drill as close to the dock as allowed and possible.
I would encourage some seasoned veterans to sign up to expand your experience, meet this year's drill requirements, and share your wisdom.
