Duanwu celebration

Event information

Registrations for this event are closed.

The sport of dragon boat is deeply rooted in Chinese tradition, and centers on the legend of the poet Qu Yuan.  Observances happen annually on the 5th day of the 5th Lunar month, which this year is June 3.  Join us after practice June 4 for a traditional observance of Duanwu, with a eye-dotting ceremony and the usual food and trappings.  We've been out on the water for months, but somehow, this awakening of the dragons lends an air of spring and a fresh start to our season.  We welcome friends from the community and the public to join us. Just RSVP so we can plan refreshments.

Masking required, unless eating, which should be done with physical distancing in mind.
